MANPOWER UK WINS
MANPOWER UK WINS ONE OF THE LARGEST GOVERNMENT RPO CONTRACTS
Following a competitive tender process, Manpower, one of the worlds leading employment services companies, has been awarded one of the largest recruitment contracts of its kind by Jobcentre Plus.
As part of the Department for Work and Pensions, Jobcentre Plus is investing in additional customer advisors to help people all over the country to get back into work. They are looking to Manpower to help with this by delivering assessment centres to assist with the recruitment of more than 10,000 new staff over the next six months.
Mel Groves, Chief Executive Jobcentre Plus, said: We want to continue offering people real help and support them to move off Jobseekers Allowance and back into work. By increasing the number of customer facing staff we can make sure we more than match demand and continue to deliver a good service to all our customers.
Confirming the new contract with Jobcentre Plus, James Hick, Sales and Marketing Director from Manpower UK, says: With economists predicting that the UK unemployment figures will top three million in 2010 and according to recent research by the CIPD, news that nearly half of all firms will not be looking to hire graduates or school-leavers in the months ahead, it is increasingly important that Government initiatives to support jobseekers are a success.
