New hospitality job board launches in the Middle East

New hospitality job board launches in the Middle East

A new job board website has been launched, www.gulfcaterer.com that will focus solely on the hospitality industry in the Middle East. Gulf Caterer, www.gulfcaterer.com, has been launched specifically to cater for Jobseekers interested in the Middle East. The hospitality sector in the region is predicted to grow significantly over the next few years despite the recent turmoil in the global economy.

When asked what was behind the launch, Roger Smart, the MD of Gulf Caterer said: internet recruiting is growing at an unprecedented rate and site choice is growing so fast that jobseekers now demand niche portals that reflect their specific requirements. Gulf Caterer caters only for hospitality in the Middle East. Jobseekers need to visit just the one location now the need to manage multiple sites is a thing of the past.

Gulf Caterer will have an important role to play in the re-distribution and supply of talent to the industry in the region as a result of market conditions. This will become evident especially as the industry moves into the high season in early September. Quality candidate supply will become an issue as hotels seek to attract key staff members already located in the region and from further afield competition will undoubtedly increase as a result.

Mr Smart added, We timed our launch to coincide with the improving business sentiment in the Middle East, and to specifically target our proposed market: hospitality professionals who are looking for jobs in the region. The early signs are extremely positive from jobseekers and clients alike and there is a keen interest in internet recruitment sites that target active jobseekers at very cost effective rates.

Roger Smart is a veteran of the Middle East recruitment business and started his recruitment career in the United Arab Emirates in the mid-nineties in a franchise venture with James Caan, the highly sought after recruitment entrepreneur and business guru of Dragons Den fame. He went on to co-found and serve as board director of the highly respected Charterhouse Partnership business in the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
