New venture to focus on interim executives

Active Human Capital Group, the Birmingham and London-based executive recruitment and board advisory business, has set up a new venture, Active Interims, to focus on the growing demand for senior interim executives, business project managers and change management specialists.

The new business is chaired by Richard Boot, who with fellow director Stephen Bryan set up Active Group in 2005. They are joined on the board by company doctor Roy Kishor and marketing specialist David Freeman.

Richard Boot, who is also chairman of Active Group, is a former managing director in KPMGs Management Consulting and Corporate Finance practices and former deputy chairman of Europackaging Group. Stephen Bryan is a former director of executive recruitment at KPMG.

Roy Kishor, a former partner at Kroll responsible for Industry Groups, has been chief executive of large manufacturing companies including Motaproducts, Valeo and Exide and is also chairman of a number of private companies. David Freeman of Mayridge Group is a sales and marketing specialist operating across a number of sectors.

Sharon Jacks, formerly with Lloyds Development Capital and HBOS, joins the new business as commercial director.

Richard Boot said: An increasing number of organisations in the private and public sectors now use interim executives as individuals or in project teams for both operational and strategic reasons and we have access to a large pool of senior business executives.

Given the current economic climate many companies are looking to access the skills of people who have the expertise to guide a business through these difficult times. Interims provide a fast, cost-effective solution.
