Temporary worker of the year

National Temporary Workers Week is an initiative designed by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) to raise awareness of the one million plus temporary workers who go out on assignment every week in the UK.
In support of this initiative the NEWgroup this week awarded Jane Newland as their Temporary Worker of the year

Jane was chosen from a short list of nominees from each of NEWs divisions including Commercial, Logistics, Technical, Industrial and Port Services.

NEWgroup recognise. Janes flexibility, dedication and high quality of work. Jane was presented with a certificate and gift vouchers by Lisa Cooper, Head of Commercial Temporary Division.

Jane said Im very pleased, its nice to be appreciated. NEWgroup have made it easy to find work which suits my current circumstances. I would like to thank them for all their help and support.

NEWgroup Director Alan Lisle said as a company we value our staff very highly. Jane has proved how important and crucial to the smooth running of a business experienced and competent temporary staff can be. They often have to step into a position without notice or hand over period and are expected to contribute immediately in the working environment. We see their role as equally important to that of permanent staff and sometimes far more challenging. Our thanks and congratulations go to Jane.
