HAYS SENIOR MANAGEMENT SCALE NEW HEIGHTS FOR CHARITY
Over forty members of the Hays senior management team recently completed the Yorkshire three-peaks challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. The challenge involved walking a total of 24 miles, scaling peaks with a combined height of over 5,000 feet (1,600 meters).
The team have so far managed to raise an impressive 15,000 for Marie Curie. The charity employs more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals and provides care to around 27,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in their hospices, along with support for their families. The charity mainly cares for those with cancer but also for people with other life-limiting illnesses.
Tim Cook, Managing Director of Hays UK & Ireland, comments: This challenge was very tough, but definitely worth it. Marie Curie is an incredibly worthwhile charity and we all worked and trained hard to make sure that we were ready for the three peaks, and able to raise as much money as possible. I cant believe we all made it!
