Key Personnel Group Ltd sold in deal advised by Tenon

Key Personnel Group Ltd, the East Midlands leading recruitment agency has been sold for an undisclosed sum in a deal on which Tenon Corporate Finance and Freeth Cartwright advised. The business was founded by Pam Pindar in 1985 and has grown substantially since that time developing a network of offices across Nottingham, Derby, Newark and Mansfield and employing 25 people.

The business has been sold as a management buy-in to a team whom have a strong recruitment background and see Key Personnel as the right business to fit with the rest of their portfolio. Going forward they plan to grow the business further, leveraging off the excellent reputation that the group has developed within the region. The new management team are also considering growing the group through further acquisition.

Pam Pindar, the main shareholder at Key Personnel along with Mandy Hallam who has a minority shareholding will exit the business. Sherrine Swallow the other minority shareholder will continue her stake in the new business. Following the sale, Pam will now focus on her other business, PBS Payroll Services which offers payroll and business solutions.

Andy Breeze, Associate Director at Tenon Corporate Finance along with Carl Swansbury, Corporate Finance Manager advised Key Personnel on the sale. Andy said we are delighted to be able to advise Pam, she has been a client of Tenon for a number of years now so it was a pleasure to be able to help her exit one of her businesses as she wanted. We feel weve found the right people to take the business on even further and maintain the reputation and the values of the company Pam has built up. Tenon are well-placed to advise recruitment businesses as we have a strong history of acting for clients in this sector and have developed a good understanding of the key issues these businesses face. As a result of this we have recently become a business partner of the REC and established a dedicated recruitment sector team who can advise recruitment businesses on a wide range of strategic matters.
