Methods Consulting is selected for the NHS PASA Commercial Resources Framework
Methods Consulting has been selected for the NHS PASA Commercial Resources Framework (CRF), which was recently awarded for 2 years to 30 April 2011, with an option to extend for up to two further 12 month periods.
The Commercial Resources Framework provides the Department of Health and NHS organisations with easy access to a list of pre-qualified suppliers for non-permanent workers with a range of commercial skills. The Framework will provide high performance candidates at short notice, and commercial capability and capacity at the lowest whole life cost. In addition, it will support the transfer of commercial skills to sustain the commercial development throughout the Department of Health and the NHS.
The NHS is undergoing significant change in its procurement and delivery of services through the World Class Commissioning agenda. World Class Commissioning affects nearly every part of the way in which the NHS will design and deliver clinical services going forward, through focusing much more closely on the local health needs and patient focused services. In particular it will help to deliver better services through innovation and competition, driving down costs and focusing much more closely on clinical outcomes.
Methods works extensively with PCTs and SHAs, as well as agencies such as the NHS Institute and NHS Information Centre. We are able to provide a full range of interim services for the end-to-end commissioning process covering all WCC competencies. Methods is particularly focused on market analysis, business case development, development of requirements, managing complex procurements and subsequent contract / service management.
The new NHS Commercial Operating Model defines the setting up of Commercial Support Units (CSUs) at regional level, to provide a source of high quality commercial expertise to PCTs and Trusts in the area. The CRF is designed to give access to such expertise, and Methods has recently supplied its first 6 commercial consultants under the framework.
Peter Rowlins, Methods Public Sector Director, commented: Methods is pleased to have been awarded supplier status for the Commercial Resources Framework. We will continue to build on our strong presence in the healthcare sector, delivering further benefits and efficiency savings throughout the NHS over the coming years.
