Morson Partnership

Morson International has formed a two year partnership with the Jobcentre Plus, which will see it provide specialist job search support to help newly unemployed technical engineering professionals across the UK get back to work.

The new two year scheme from Jobcentre Plus is part of a government initiative to help combat the results of the recession and is aimed at unemployed people who lack up-to-date job searching skills. In order to deliver the scheme effectively, Jobcentre Plus has selected several specialist recruitment agencies to partner with. Jobcentre Plus advisors will then refer candidates to the most relevant agency within the candidates geographical and specialist area.

The leading technical engineering solutions company, Morson, will offer support to trained technical engineers. Providing unrivalled expertise within the technical engineering sector, Morson has over 40 years of experience placing individuals with blue chip companies, so is well placed to offer advice to newly unemployed engineers on the attributes and skills that employers within this sector are currently seeking.

The company will offer free practical support by training professionals and executives in modern job hunting skills ranging from compiling CVs to interview techniques. The new scheme will be delivered from the Morson Barrow-In-Furness branch to jobseekers nationwide.

Claire Brennan, Morson Barrow-In-Furness branch manager, commented: We are thrilled to be able to provide support for people who have been affected by the recession. It can be extremely daunting for highly skilled people who are experiencing unemployment for the first time or for those that have been with one employer for a long period of time and we are aiming to ease that pressure.

Our main aim is to give candidates the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully and quickly find and secure relevant jobs. By offering a free face to face bespoke strategy covering CV workshops, job search techniques and in-depth advice on interview techniques.
