The Morson Group organises star-studded charity football match

A star-studded football match between Manchester United legends and TV soap stars will kick off at 1pm, Sunday 19 July to raise money for the charities Leukaemia Research and The Seashell Trust. The Morson Group, a leading technical recruitment company, have organised the match between the 'Manchester United Old Boys' and the 'Allstars' at Altrincham Football Club, Manchester.

Over 1000 people are expected to watch what promises to be a great spectacle for all the family, with the 'Allstars' featuring famous names from Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Phoenix Nights and Dream Team. They will go head-to-head with legends such as Denis Irwin, Clayton Blackmore, Alan Ritchie, Lee Martin and David May from the 'Manchester United Old Boys'.

Joanne McGowan, Charity Committee Secretary at Morson said: "The aim is to provide a really fun day for everyone and raise as much money as possible for our two chosen charities - Leukaemia Research and The Seashell Trust."

Kate White, Director of Fundraising at Leukaemia Research, says: "It promises to be a fantastic afternoon and all the money raised will really help to save lives. A big thank you to Morson for organising the match and to all the stars who have donated their time to this brilliant event."

All money raised on the day will be divided between Morson's two 'charities of the year' Leukaemia Research and The Seashell Trust. Leukaemia Research is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma. The Seashell Trust, based in Cheadle, offers educational facilities and specially supported residential homes to young people with severe disabilities.
