HCL Sponsors Youth Rugby Australia Tour

HCL, the leading global health and social care staffing company, is proud to be a chief sponsor of the Reeds School Rugby and Hockey Tour July - August 2009. The tour, now in its third year, promotes fitness and cross-cultural understanding amongst young people by bringing together promising athletes in a series of fixtures, this year across Australia and Singapore.
The tour began at the internationally renowned Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, with rugby and hockey fixtures between Reeds and local schools including Marist Eastwood and Lyneham High, before moving on to Brisbane. For the second leg of the tour, the team will fly to Singapore to take on St Andrews College and Singapore Cricket Club.

Tour manager Tony Talbot, of Reeds School, commented:
The Reeds tour was founded with the object of uniting talented young people from very different backgrounds and cultures through the international language of sport. It reflects the Schools commitment to providing education to children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
With the tour now well underway, Im pleased to say that the standards of athleticism and sportsmanship are even higher than in previous years. HCLs sponsorship of the tour is invaluable in making this once in a lifetime experience possible.
Kate Bleasdale, Executive Vice Chairman of HCL, said:
Were very proud to sponsor this tour and to give young people the opportunity to play sport at an international level. As the leading global health and social care recruiter, we understand the importance of promoting cross-cultural understanding and also the need to encourage healthy lifestyles among young people across the world. We are very excited to be a sponsor of this world tour."
