Novel way for Wallington pensioners to keep fit

Novel way for Wallington pensioners to keep fit

A game of tennis, a round of golf or ten pin bowling are just some of the activities members of the Wallington and Beddington senior citizens club can take part in to keep themselves fit and active thanks to local company Penta Consulting.

This donation from Penta, a leading technical staffing company operating in 85 countries, is part of the companys commitment to supporting the local community.  As Group Managing Director Paul Clark explains: My partner Richard Wilson and I started Penta Consulting eleven years ago in Wallington and we are keen to get more involved with local groups and ventures.  Initially we offered the senior citizens club internet training but they came back to us and said they would much prefer a Nintendo Wii so they could have fun keeping fit together.

Malcolm Smith who runs the 50 strong group with a top age of 98 said:  The aim of the club is to encourage people to become more active physically and socially and the Wii fit does both.  It has given members a new lease of life and we would all like to thank everyone at Penta for this generous gift.
