UK Interim management specialist targets 60,000 to rebuild school in Africa
- London based interim management specialists Brooklands Executives set to raise funds to rebuild school in Kenya
More than 140 children will have the chance of a better education thanks to Brooklands Executives - the key sponsor of an initiative to rebuild a school in Mutaro, Kenya. The interim management specialist is making a generous investment to the Mutaro School Project to provide better facilities for the children in the local community.
The interim management specialist has committed to help raise approximately 60,000 to help rebuild the school and provide better facilities. For every Executive Search or Interim Management assignment that Brooklands undertakes between now and Christmas, the company will donate 1,000 to the Mutaro School project. Candidates and clients are also being encouraged to donate just 10 each and in return, they will enter into free prize draw to win a week at a farmhouse in Ibiza, Spain. David Jensen, CEO at Brooklands Executives says the project helps provide perspective despite the recession: As the key sponsor of this project we are proud that our people and likely interim incumbents have been active in donating funds to help get this project home. The children are walking miles each day for an education and despite the economic problems we have in the UK, we can all donate a small amount to make a big difference. It is a great project and the target of 60,000 will help not only build the school but fund it for five years which is a great initiative, says David.
Brooklands Executives was inspired to help the project after it heard about the conditions that the children work in. The children walk up to three hours a day for an education in a school that currently has no running water and dilapidated buildings. The money raised will help re-build the school and provide better facilities.
