Raymond Pennie appointed Co-Chair of APSCo Technology Forum

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has appointed Raymond Pennie as Co-Chair of its Technology Forum, where leading staffing firms meet to discuss the latest IT innovations to impact the recruitment sector.

Raymond is Commercial Director of Kamanchi which supplies IT and technology services to professional staffing firms. His wealth of experience in the recruitment sphere includes working as Project Director of Spherion in Europe and as Programme Director of Elan IT, part of the Manpower Group. Raymond is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and sits on the council of ICAS (the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland).

He joins Alex Charles, founder of iProfile, who has chaired the Forum for the last three years.

Commenting on his appointment, Raymond says: There are so many competing technologies in the recruitment sector that is impossible for decision makers to keep up with the latest developments. At the Technology Forum we aim to keep those who have ownership of technology budgets well briefed on what their options are, as well as the business case for different applications.

It is great to work with APSCo and Im looking forward to the challenge. I would encourage staffing professionals and APSCo members to come along and ask questions because, when it comes to IT, theres no such thing as a stupid question.

Ann Swain, Chief Executive of APSCo, adds: Joint Chairmanship and topics planned for future discussion has ignited interest in the APSCo Technology forum with attendance up three fold at our re-launch.
