Westaff expand their Northern Presence

High Street recruiter Westaff are delighted to announce the opening of four new branches in Trafford Park, Ashton, Chester and Warrington, each representing the larger catchment areas of West Manchester, East Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside respectively. Westaff is the trading name of Fortis Personnel Services Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortis Holdings Ltd. The new openings bring their total number of branches across the UK to 17.

Managing Director Mark Gaisford says reports in todays national news (9.9.09) that the UK employment market is recovering came as no surprise to us. It simply reflects what we are witnessing in our branches across the country. The opening of new locations demonstrates our growing confidence in trading conditions and reinforces the message coming from many of our customers Mark goes on to say that his vision is to differentiate the service received from Westaff stating Finding the right staff is one of the greatest challenges facing any business, especially in a difficult economy where no one has money to burn. It is vital that we devote enough time and effort into the process. I personally believe that getting the recruitment process right for our customers depends largely on our consultative approach. For our applicants, their sole objective is to be placed in suitable roles as quickly as possible and we can only do this by spending time understanding their motivations and key skill areas and working closely with them rather than just churning out their CV.

The newly opened offices will operate in Commercial and Industrial sectors, offering temporary and permanent recruitment solutions.

Locally overseeing the new operations is David Toller, Regional Manager, who has 14 years experience in the industry, including a number of successful start-ups. David enthuses I am genuinely very excited about the new branch openings. We have built four teams of enthusiastic and experienced recruiters, who critically have the knowledge of each their local markets. We have already been overwhelmed by the support and interest we have seen from customers and applicants and look forward to building on those partnerships and working with our customers as the economy stabilises and their needs for recruitment support increases
