fish4jobs celebrates its 10th anniversary

The UKs leading jobs board, fish4jobs, celebrates a decade helping recruiters find the perfect candidates.

It may seem hard to believe but its been 10 years since the men in fish suits first burst on to TV screens across the UK, ready to help people find their ideal job.
A lot has changed since then. In 1999, fish4jobs attracted 460,000 unique users each month, a figure which has since risen to 3.3 million*. In the last decade over 13 million jobs have been advertised and candidates have performed over 225 million searches on the site.

The success of fish4jobs, recognised by NORAS as the UKs largest jobs boards for the last eight years, has mirrored the growth of the online world. Back in 1999, only 28% of UK households had a computer - a figure that has now risen to more than 70%.
fish4 CEO, Joe Slavin, comments, The last ten years have seen a major shift in the way people search and apply for jobs. We, like the rest of the industry, have had to continually adapt to keep up. The last year has been particularly turbulent but has proved that, even in the most challenging of times, demand for online recruitment advertising remains strong. We look forward to carrying on helping our clients find the best candidates over the next ten years. Launched in October 1999, alongside fish4cars and fish4homes, fish4jobs was one of the UKs first generalist jobs boards and was part of the dot com boom that shaped the late nineties. More recently, fish4s online interests have expanded to include dating site, fish4love, and fish4holidays.
