HARROGATE RECRUITER WINS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARD

HARROGATE RECRUITER WINS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARD

Harrogate business woman, Emma Howarth, has won the inaugural International Business Form (IBF) 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' Award. Emma who is a director of international recruitment consultancy, Langton Howarth Ltd, founded the company just three years ago.

Operating in a niche and very specialised market recruiting key staff for the life sciences industry she's skilfully and prudently grown her company. As well as her Harrogate office, Langton Howarth Ltd now has a presence in both Europe and the USA.

The IBF Awards recognise excellence and achievement in different spheres of business and commerce across the Yorkshire region. Emma collected her award from Alex McWhirter, Assistant Director-Business, Yorkshire Forward at the International Business Forum Awards Dinner which was held at Scarborough's Spa Complex. She was nominated for it by one of the company's clients.

Shaun Mullins, partner of the Leeds office of national accountants and leading business advisors Baker Tilly, was part of the Award's judging panel. We were impressed by Langton Howarth's speed of growth and Emmas achievements in such a short space of time. Particularly praiseworthy is the company's international presence. The business has good clients and great credentials. Emma is a very determined young lady, keenly aware of her marketplace. She combines maturity beyond her years with youthful energy and enthusiasm.

Commenting on her award, Emma added: I'm absolutely delighted that the development of Langton Howarth has been recognised in this way. I share my success with my
colleagues and clients. In particular I would like to thank Business Link who were very helpful when I was establishing the business. And I'd also like to mention a client of mine,
Denise Van de Salis of Starlab who was and still is my inspiration.
