Hays Public Services, the worlds leading recruiting experts in qualified, professional and skilled people, recently partnered with the new public sector organisation the IPC based in Bristol, to recruit a diverse start-up team. 35 positions from Head of to support roles across disciplines including planning, finance, IT, human resources, communications, legal, administration and secretarial were filled. Hays worked in partnership with the IPC to ensure all roles had been offered and placed within a tight timetable so that the new team was in place and ready for business on the 1st October, when the IPC opened for business and started providing advice.
The IPC is designed to streamline the planning process for nationally significant infrastructure projects such as large wind farms, power stations and railways to under a year, and has been targeted to save up to 300m each year by a reduction in delays.
Andie Cooper, Director at Hays Public Services says: Hays has worked closely with the IPC to meet its needs and find the right professionals to meet the specialist nature of the roles. It helps that we understand the market, have a comprehensive knowledge of public services recruitment and know how to track down the best people for the roles from both within and outside of the sector.
