Navigate wins Ofsted contract

Education and childrens services leadership recruitment and development specialist Navigate, has won its first major contract just days after opening its Central London office. The contract is to work with Ofsted on its internal review which will see Her Majestys Chief Inspector Christine Gilbert complete recruitment to vacant posts within Ofsteds new structure.

The contract will be run out of Navigates new central London office in High Holborn which opened to better service the Capital and the South of England and is an extension of the companys Leeds office which already serves the North and the Midlands.

The office is headed by ex-Rockpool director Shahidul Miah who chose a career in recruitment following what he describes as the best interview I ever had with former employer PWC. A former lecturer, local government equalities strategy officer and consultant, Shahidul moved into education recruitment because of his passion for the subject and his belief that it can make a difference to peoples lives, with further education giving people a second chance.

As a company we are passionate about good leadership as everyone from Government advisors to pupils benefit from a successful learning environment. Helping Ofsted to appoint the very best people as part of its restructure will have a positive impact on schools and ensure the very best opportunities for children and young people, said Miah.
