Professionals Give Generously at Sellick Partnerships Sports Dinner
Over two hundred business professionals joined together at Manchesters Lowry Hotel on Thursday, 15th October, to celebrate in style the achievements of Sellick Partnerships Manchester Professionals Cricket League 2009, which has raised over 5000 for two North West Charities - St.Anns Hospice and The Lords Taverners.
The League, launched earlier in the year by finance and legal recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership, included twenty-four professional service businesses from across Manchester, taking part in seventy-four fixtures over the summer months.
Guest speaker at the event, Jonathan Agnew, BBC Cricket correspondent, was well received by the professionals, as he provided humorous insights into his experience of working with fellow commentator, Geoffrey Boycott, and life as a fast-pace bowler for the England team.
Jo Sellick, Managing Director has commented: This year has seen the launch of the League and I have been delighted with its success. The End of Season Awards Dinner provided an excellent platform for raising a substantial amount of money for two worthwhile causes whilst facilitating networking opportunities and recognising the achievements of those teams that participated. All extremely positive outcomes in what has been a difficult year for the business community.
