Scantec restates desire to grow turnover to 100m with management changes.
North West based Scantec Personnel, one of the UKs leading recruitment agencies, have implemented a major reorganisation of its management team as it embarks on its 21st year of trading.
Scantec is rated in the top 100 recruitment agencies in Britain and top 10 for technical recruitment. Founder John Robinson said the firm is reorganising its management in anticipation of an upturn in trading in 2010.
The changes will see Robinson move to role of chairman while Peter Bates, Scantecs joint founder, takes over from him as managing director. Adam Spelman is promoted to main board director and Colin McNeil is promoted to divisional director.
20 years of trading is a massive achievement of which we are hugely proud, he said. However, our focus is the future and we must keep thrusting the firm forward. This strengthening of the management team will renew our determination, focus and desire to grow the business turnover to 100m and become one of the top 50 UK recruitment agencies within five years.
Mr Robinson said the changes will come into effect from January 1.
We have weathered the recession a lot better than most within our industry, he said. We continue to excel in key industries such as nuclear, power generation and defence. Earlier this year we signed a five year deal with the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) a long standing client. We are determined to build on that success and the general solid performance of the business this year.
