ISO 14001 is an international standard that provides a framework for organisations to control and improve environmental performance and was developed in response to rising concern about the effect businesses are having on the world in which we live.

Jo Edwards, Managing Director of Tate, says, Tate is aware of its contribution to society and that every business activity we undertake will have an impact on the community and environment.  We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical and responsible manner, which is reflected in everything we do.

ISO 14001 involves developing an environmental policy and planning how to fulfil it, implementing means to control and mitigate environmental risk and commitment to checking effectiveness and making improvements continuously.
