- Leading driver and industrial recruiter joins Cherie Blair at UK launch of Sarina Russo Job Access GB
Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Yvette Cooper recently made an appeal to UK employers asking them to do everything in their power to help young people develop their skills and find employment.
Transline-Resource answered her call and last week joined Cherie Blair in attending a launch event in Coventry organised by Australian businesswoman and Backing Young Britain pioneer, Sarina Russo.
Having only entered the UK market six weeks ago, Sarina is no stranger to getting people back into work. Her business acumen and can-do attitude has inspired millions of young people down under.
With similar business values, Transline-Resource Managing Director, Paul Beasley and Director, Mark Elms were happy to sign up to a Sarina Russo sponsored initiative which will ultimately see scores of young people be trained and employed by the market leading recruiter.
With a 19.1% unemployment rate, the plight of young people in the UK is currently dire, said Paul Beasley. Weve invested heavily in worker training so are in the perfect position to nurture young talent into the world of work. Weve already placed a number of people in work through the Backing Young Britain scheme but the presence of Sarina is likely to accelerate that process.
The event, held at Sarina Russo Job Access GBs head office in Coventry City Centre, was opened by a rousing speech from the UKs former first lady, Cherie Blair who praised the immediate impact Sarina has on peoples lives.
The floor was then opened up for representatives from Transline-Resource to discuss the way forward with Sarina Russo, Cherie Blair and other key partners including, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, SERCO and New Look to name but a few.
Transline-Resource will now work in close partnership with the scheme, guaranteeing interviews for young people and their inclusion into the companys driving and industrial training schemes. Account Manager, Warren Bennett will coordinate the Transline-Resources Backing Young Britain activities from the groups Manchester office.
Mark Elms added: In the current economic climate young people have been stuck between a rock and a hard place. Through no fault of their own, many are trapped, possessing the desire to work but lacking the experience to establish themselves in the world of work. We will do everything in our power to help as many of them as possible through these tough times.
