NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM SPELLS SUCCESS FOR THE SYNERGY GROUP

One of the UKs largest independent recruitment companies, The Synergy Group Ltd, is celebrating a portfolio of new contract wins and increased profits following the appointment of a dynamic new management team.

The Synergy Group provides recruitment, training and consultancy solutions to Public and Private sector employers across the UK. Established in 1997, the company has succeeded in establishing itself as one of the leading providers of staffing solutions in the country, with an annual turnover of 35million reported for 2009.

In March 2009 Kieran Ryan was appointed Managing Director of The Synergy Group after previously working in a management role for the company between 1998 and 2000. Bringing a wealth of experience to the role after setting up his own company, Trinity Solutions Group, and successfully selling it on, The Synergy Group has thrived under his leadership.
This, coupled with the appointment of Finance Director, Bob Nealon in the same year, has seen the company increase profitability in one of the toughest economic climates in recent years. Bobs credentials include previous senior finance roles at Thompson Group, Diageo and EDS, as well as interim financial director positions with a number of recruitment companies.
One success story for the company has been securing a place on the NHS buying solutions framework to supply non-clinical and administrative staff, as well as training and educational services. On top of this result, the company has also entered new contracts with 37 local authorities in the last 12 months.

The Synergy Group has also further strengthened its credentials as a public sector human resources specialist with the development of a new programme that allows individuals without Public Sector experience to retrain into a chosen sector with a view to gaining a specific role.

The Kickstart programme, which is the first of its kind, gives shortlisted candidates role specific training towards their chosen career path during the interview process.

The aim is to create the opportunity for candidates without Public Sector experience to apply their transferable skills and life experience to roles that would otherwise have been closed to them.
