IRP extends its range of services in 2010

The Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP), the vibrant new body representing dedicated individuals working within the recruitment industry, is expanding its services further this year to meet the growing needs and demands of the modern-day recruiter.

The IRP is also going nationwide this year with every area of the UK represented by a team of regional directors who will act as local ambassadors to promote and champion recruitment as a desirable industry in which to work.

This will be followed by a series of nationwide events where members can meet to exchange ideas which in turn will further the IRPs continuous drive towards professionalising the industry.

2010 has started with the launch of an extensive lifestyle benefits package, exclusive to IRP members giving them unrivalled access to special discounts on more than 500 products and services.

An online Career Routeway is also being launched this year to help members determine which specific recruitment industry roles their skills and talents would best be suited. This will take the form of a psychometrically-based test delivered through the IRP website.

The REC launched the IRP on June 24 last year to replace its previous Individual Membership offering. The IRPs core purpose is to ensure that all recruiters are given the opportunity to be individually recognised as part of the profession while demonstrating to clients their credentials in being committed to delivering the best possible service at all times.

Already the IRP has celebrated the exemplary achievements of its members with its first-ever awards ceremony last November attended by more than 330 people.

Anita Holbrow, Director of the IRP, said: We have come a long way in just over six months in which time we have staged a memorable awards ceremony and extended our network of IRP Directors to cover every corner of the UK.

Now, we are focussing entirely on bringing them even more bespoke resources that will further demonstrate and enhance their standing - in the eyes of their both candidates and clients - as committed and passionate recruitment professionals.
