Outsourcing Specialist Awarded Sole Recruitment Supplier for 600M Contract
The Sherwood Group Appointed by Kier North Tyneside for significant project

A leading outsourcing specialist today announced it had won the prestigious contract to become the sole recruitment provider for a 600M project. The Sherwood Group, which specialises in outsourced recruitment solutions, will assist Kier North Tyneside following the construction companys successful bid to repair and maintain 16,000 homes owned by North Tyneside Council.

The ten-year recruitment contract, which commences with immediate effect, is one of the largest ever undertaken by Sheffield-based Sherwood and will see the company provide a broad range of skilled and manual workers to undertake the massive construction and maintenance requirement. All workers will be sourced through the companys extensive network of approved personnel.

Sherwood, which also has offices in London and Leeds, won the contract based on its proven track record of providing innovative outsourced solutions, with the company already working with Kier across multiple sites in the UK.

The win follows a successful 12 months for Sherwood, with ex-United Industries Chairman Nicholas Jeffrey being appointed as non-executive Director, along with a number of high profile contract wins.

Jeremy Goldberg, Managing Director at Sherwood, said: We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious, long-term contract and look forward to assisting Kier with its recruitment needs in North Tyneside.

I am thrilled that our expertise in outsourced solutions was recognised by Kier and the ten-year contract means that we will have unparalleled opportunity to further develop our relationship, working in partnership to great mutual benefit.

Managing Director, Peter Brynes, said: "Kier Building Maintenance (KBM) has always had a good working relationship with Sherwood and we are looking forward to continuing to work with them in North Tyneside. Kier believe it is very important to recruit locally and by working with Sherwood's, we hope to achieve this."
