Spencer Ogden looks to Bullhorn for company kick-off

11 February, 2010 - New energy resource recruiter Spencer Ogden, today announced their deal with Bullhorn, the global leader in on demand, front office recruitment software. The agency formed by Sir Peter Ogden, founder of Computacenter Plc, and David Spencer-Percival, a founding member of Huntress, specialises in recruitment for the oil and gas, renewable energy and nuclear sectors and commenced trading early January 2010.

Bullhorns UK Managing Director, Peter Linas, commented: The last 6 months have seen rapid expansion and high levels of interest in our software as a service offering. The technology is particularly suited to the UK recruitment market as our licensed approach allows recruiters of all sizes to profit from market leading recruitment software, lower administration costs and efficiencies, as they benefit from the integrated email, calendar embedded LinkedIn integration and advanced candidate database. Spencer Ogden is one of a number of agencies that are realising the advantages.

Bullhorn launched in the UK announcing a sector-defining contract with Talascend in June 2009. The specialist recruiter benefited from enhanced intra-company communication and full optimisation of their extensive candidate database, while simultaneously reducing costs and time dedicated to administration.

Spencer Ogdens Chief Executive, David Spencer-Percival, commented: We were already familiar with the leading edge work Bullhorn has pioneered in America. As a new agency, it was crucial we laid the appropriate software and system foundations. After conducting a full market review there was only one choice. The Bullhorn platform will grow organically with Spencer Ogden while allowing us to provide the best service possible for our consultants, contacts and candidates.

The UK energy sector is looking at massive expansion over the coming years with an estimated investment of 200bn. We have identified a significant shortage of qualified and well-trained engineers, however we also realise that skills in the engineering sector are transferable. By utilising Bullhorns extensive 360 degree search and organisation functionality, we are confident of placing more candidates and establishing Spencer Ogden as the premier brand in our sector.

Linas also announced that Bullhorn is well placed to continue the rapid growth it experienced following the 2009 UK launch. The front office software supplier is ready to announce further dedicated UK support staff, engineers and additions to its sales team early this year.

Linas commented: With UK recruiters recognising the power of the Bullhorn platform, we felt it necessary to increase our ground support in the UK. The additions to the UK team will further enhance our clients experiences and fit well into our 2010 growth plan.
