Adam, the sales and marketing recruitment specialist, joins the marketing industrys elite as a member of the Marketing Academy talent selection panel. Adam is the only recruitment consultancy to have been invited to be a part of this prestigious mentoring program.
Co-founder of Adam, Richard Gahagan, is one of just 16 judges who have given up their time, free of charge, to help identify the brightest talent in Marketing. Chosen from top tier companies, the expert judges represent leading brands such as Cadbury, O2 and BBC Worldwide. The Academy will enable 25 young marketers to receive free world class mentoring, development and input from leading individuals and companies from across the sector.
Richard will be judging alongside some of the biggest names in marketing and will have full input throughout the whole Graduate Entrepreneur Programme (GEP). With 15 years experience in recruiting for sales and marketing professionals, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the judging panel.
Richard says: We are very happy to be involved in this program. It is an honour to be recognised for our unique qualities and the efforts we have taken to provide a high quality service to the marketing industry. As recruiters, we are close to the real market and understand the ups and downs of the career placement process. We are able to act as a conduit between candidates and employers, closing the loop between the marketing leaders of the future and their dream career.
A specialist recruitment consultancy, Adam is dedicated to nurturing and developing talent in the marketing sector and shares the values promoted by the Marketing Academy founders. The agency works to fully understand what each candidate has to offer by placing emphasis on both academic record as well as other qualities.  Adam believes in building and facilitating careers, rather than just CV distribution.
Adam works at grass roots level with marketing candidates from all walks of life and is well placed to identify unique and genuine talent. In an ever-changing recruitment landscape, the agency is quick to recognise those candidates who show ability beyond the ordinary and direct them to the jobs that suit best.
Richard adds: They key thing is not to forget what this opportunity will actually mean to the successful scholars. We are going to make 25 budding marketing leaders extremely happy and give their career a unique boost.
The GEP provides an excellent start for candidates and it is designed to be sustainable with the 25 for 25 model, where scholars of the previous year are given the opportunity to mentor the new intake. It is a means for the talent of today to give something back to the emerging talent of tomorrow.
The recession has been a testing time for new jobseekers, but Adam advises candidates to look long term. A slight slowdown in the market may mean that some marketing professionals have had to reassess their short term goals but careers are a life time investment. According to Adam, a programme like Marketing Hall of Legends could mushroom as more and more people see the value of nurturing career development at all levels.
