APSCo CEO to speak at Staffing Industry Analysts conference
APSCo CEO to speak at Staffing Industry Analysts conference in Las Vegas
APSCo chief to talk on AWD issues and the effects of EU legislation
Ann Swain, Chief Executive of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo), has been invited to speak at the Staffing Industry Analysts Executive Forum, one of the largest global recruitment industry events, which will be held at the Red Rock Casino Hotel in Las Vegas 17th - 19th March 2010.
Ann Swain will be speaking as an expert on the European regulatory environment. Her invitation is in recognition of APSCos leading role lobbying on behalf of the recruitment profession on the Agency Workers Directive (AWD) and other regulation.
Ann Swain will be involved in a panel discussion on EU legislation and how it affects staffing companies operating in European countries. The impact of the AWD will be discussed as well as some broader issues, such as the lack of certain legal frameworks in Eastern European countries, and the different compliance requirements between the EU and the USA.
The conference is expected to attract around 700 senior recruitment industry delegates. APSCo members wishing to attend are eligible for a 10% discount on tickets.
Ann Swain, Chief Executive of APSCo, comments: Being invited to speak at this conference is a huge fillip for APSCo. Weve campaigned hard on the AWD, so to be regarded as a leading authority worthy of speaking at this prestigious event is enormously flattering.
With business becoming increasingly globalised, it is very important that US recruiters coming to the European market understand local regulation. The complexity of European regulation could potentially deter would-be market entrants, so Im hoping to clarify some of the confusion and uncertainty in this area.
