Quality Link Flattens Recession Fears with Record Sales Figures

Catering and hospitality recruitment specialist Quality Link has turned the recession on its head and kept its bookkeepers busier than ever with a string of record monthly results.

Based in Edinburgh and busy throughout Britain, Quality Link is part of Rise Group. Despite the strain felt in many recruitment offices across the country, Quality Link has met the downturn head on and returned record breaking numbers on the back of its established top tier service and growing bank of clients.

In the four month period from November 2009 to February 2010, the business has posted sales one fifth higher than twelve months previously and early indications are very strong for the rest of the year.

Hazel Neill, a director at Quality Link, said: When other agencies are all working so hard to retain clients and there is not a lot of new business about, it really emphasises just how good our performance has been.

She added: We have benefited from winning a couple of new clients, but we have also grown our business as our existing clients have grown theirs. By working closely with our clients and providing them a service they can count on, we have established very strong working relationships that we are looking forward to developing further in the years ahead.

Ms Neill said that although the recession had taken a lump out of the hospitality industry it had not stopped companies or individuals pushing ahead with their plans.

In this sort of environment it is all about cutting your cloth to fit what is available and people are perhaps thinking harder about what they can afford and the type of event they want to have.

They are still keen for the show to go on, however, and from our perspective, maintaining and improving the level of service has never been more important. The stronger our performance, the more clients trust us to deliver for them in these difficult times and offer them real value for money, she said.
