AgustaWestland names Wynnwith Technical Services as labour provider for Apache IOS at Wattisham Airfield

AgustaWestland has selected Wynnwith Technical Services to provide technical staff and engineers in support of AgustaWestlands depth maintenance activities at Wattisham Airfield, the British Armys main Apache AH Mk1 operating base and Depth Support Unit (DSU).

Wynnwith will partner with AgustaWestland to ensure the workforce is best placed to meet the key Apache Integrated Operational Support requirements of increased aircraft availability and reduced through life costs. Wynnwiths agreement with AgustaWestland, will run in parallel with the prime Apache IOS contract which has an initial period to March 2014.

Paul Clempson, Head of Aircraft Support Services, AgustaWestland, comments: The availability of appropriately skilled and experienced resources is key to the delivery of our Apache IOS commitments. Wynnwith has significant expertise in this area and already has an excellent track record supporting Apache flying activities at ACM Middle Wallop where it has assisted AgustaWestland in delivering flying hours to meet the Armys Apache training requirements.

Julian Morison, Chief Executive, Wynnwith Group, added: We are very pleased to expand our AgustaWestland relationship to encompass support to the DSU at Wattisham. Wynnwith has developed a recruitment plus service for the provision of managed workforces which enables clients like AgustaWestland to focus on their core business whilst Wynnwith deals with the recruitment and human resource aspects of the efficient operation of the staff. We have recently consolidated this service into a separate business division, Wynnwith Technical Services. This win underlines the attractiveness of this model, confirms our sector expertise, and indicates that we continue to offer highly compelling and competitive services.
