CIPD and PPMA chiefs to speak at REC public sector summit

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has announced another two high profile speakers for its public sector summit on June 8.

Jackie Orme, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Dean Shoesmith, newly-elected President of the Public Sector People Managers Association (PPMA), will join Sir Peter Gershon, the Conservative Partys efficiency adviser as keynote speakers for the summit on Tuesday June 8 in central London.
The summit is at the centre of the RECs public sector resourcing campaign. The campaign launched in February has been designed to promote reform of public sector services by making the most of flexible resourcing and acquiring the talent to lead the transformation within public sector employers.
Commenting on their appearance at the summit, Kevin Green, the RECs Chief Executive, said: These are two extremely influential and well regarded figures, who bring with them a depth of knowledge and experience. Their contribution to the summit will create talking points on how public sector HR practitioners work with their recruitment partners to deliver new resourcing strategies.
Again, no-one working in public sector resourcing can afford to miss this event.
The summit called The Future of Public Sector Resourcing will bring together experts from HR, procurement and recruiters to explore public resourcing over the next five years. For more information, please visit the website, http://www.rec.uk.com/resourcing/conference.
