Helen Stokes to step down at Morgan Hunt

Morgan Hunt announced today that Helen Stokes is stepping down from her position as CEO of Morgan Hunt. Stokes joined Morgan Hunt in 2001 and built-up and managed the successful public sector recruitment business. The firm employs over 200 people in the UK and has a turnover in excess of 80m. A market leader and shaper, Morgan Hunt has won numerous industry awards including Best Public Sector Recruiter in three of the last four years.

With Stokes departure, James Stevenson takes over the running of the public sector business and is promoted to managing director. Sarah Bennett becomes director, Education. Founders Rupert and Stephen Fordham remain as chairman of Morgan Hunt Group and Morgan Hunt Public Sector respectively. Stokes will continue as a director of the business but will take a break for the remainder of the year.

Stephen Fordham said: Helens achievement at Morgan Hunt in the last eight years has been nothing short of remarkable. Through determination, drive, attention to detail, organisational skill and inspirational leadership she has helped to create one of the most successful and exciting businesses in the UK recruitment sector. Her decision to step down from day-to-day involvement, which is entirely her own - will be a big change for all of us. However, she will remain involved with the business in a non-executive capacity and one of the many enduring legacies she leaves us with, is a talented group of senior managers who we are confident will be able to lead the company forward in the future.
