Jobsco UK Ltd has announced the launch of one of the UKs most sought-after domain names with a brand new online job board.
The West Midlands Company said its objective was to ensure that its clients received the best support possible in their search for employment or employees.
Paul Doherty, of Jobsco UK, said the launch of the site www.jobs.co.uk followed an in-depth survey of client needs.
Our objective is to provide the recruitment industry with a job board which truly caters for the needs of both jobseekers and recruiting managers, he said.
We researched what people wanted from a job board and received thousands of responses from active jobseekers. The information they gave us provided the foundation for the design and technical capability of the site.
In a nutshell, jobseekers want a site with high quality job opportunities which can be easily found and short-listed for them by a highly effective search engine.
Jobsco appointed specialist recruitment systems developer, Zero One Design, to design a website that would incorporate everything its clients wanted.
The site has also been deliberately designed to maximise search engine optimisation (SEO), a situation aided by the very strong domain name.
The result has been a high quality, easy to navigate site packed with information and relevant vacancies.
We went live this month and although the site is in its infancy we have been attracting users at a very healthy rate with thousands of hits every day, said Mr Doherty.
We have also spoken to respected senior figures within the online recruitment industry and they have been very impressed with the facility and generous in their praise.
However, the people we want to serve the most are our clients and early feedback from them has been very positive, with many praising the site for its content and ease of use.
Development of the site is ongoing aided by feedback from users - and Jobsco said the intention was to deliver an online platform catering for everyones needs.
 The site will always be driven by the needs of users, so whatever additional improvements they want will be reviewed promptly and where appropriate, changes implemented with immediate effect. We want to get this right as quickly as possible so they can enjoy the best job-hunting experience on the net, added Mr Doherty.
Having listened to what recruiting companies wanted we adopted the same principle and gave it to them an effective search engine and a good quality ad response.
Additionally, they desired minimal advertising costs and we have delivered on this providing them a cost-effective platform in terms of applications per spend.
We are very pleased with this as it means we were able to pass on what we believe will be irresistible savings to advertisers, not just in the short-term but over the long haul too.
Ultimately, the site is delivering on its promise and is helping clients find work.
Virtually every employment sector is covered on the site and early usage has been evenly spread, said Mr Doherty.
Strong results have already been seen in the Legal, Health & Safety and Sales sectors, with Social Care, Accountancy and Construction are also performing well, as have several areas in the Public Sector.
