RECs Institute of Recruitment Professionals wins top award
 
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has again been recognised for its marketing excellence by winning a top award and being highly commended in three categories in the annual Memcom awards, the organisation representing membership and communication professionals.
 
The REC won one of the top two awards for the rebranding of its Individual Membership offering as the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
 
The IRP is the body representing the interests of individual recruiters, the core aim being to position the industry as a profession in the same way as lawyers or HR Professionals.
 
The rebranding of IRP was more than just a name change and new logo:  the product now offers its members a suite of bespoke products, a dedicated website, a revised Code of Ethics, a social network, career development tools, a personal benefits package and a chance to enter its prestigious awards.
 
The highly commended awards for the REC were for its magazine Recruitment Matters, for its Sectors E-bulletin and for its membership handbook.  This is the fourth year running that the REC has been successful in these awards.
 
Commenting on the Memcom awards, Anita Holbrow, the RECs Director of Marketing said: We are thrilled that our creativity and innovation have been recognised, as we were competing against many household names.
 
For the REC to win the rebranding award for the IRP is testament to the strength of the product. This is a wonderful recognition for our people who have put in so much time and effort to make this a reality for members.
