Recently launched is a brand new service for schools and the education recruitment sector called WorkinSchools. WorkinSchools is an online social and professional network solely for people who work in education.
The creation of the site has been inspired by the increased use of social media in the recruitment sector as a tool for candidate sourcing. This combined with teachers being discouraged from using casual social networks due to the possible pupil interaction, makes a professional social network for teachers and education recruiters a match made in heaven.
WorkinSchools is a place where people employed in education can network with friends and colleagues in a safe, pupil free online environment this is coupled with a sophisticated job search engine and candidate search for recruitment.
The site also enables education recruiters to join and for a cost-effective membership fee they can promote their agency with a profile page, advertise unlimited vacancies and search candidates who are registered and using the network.
Education recruitment agencies can also use the network as a platform to help organise their own supply pool. Schools can notify agencies of supply requirements and the agencies in turn can communicate with, check availability and book supply staff over the network.
The social side of the site allows our users to network, share teaching resources and use the network as an advice platform. This will enable our education employers to graze on a captive audience of passive job seekers.
Both the TES and DCSF Schools recruitment website have job search functionality but neither offer much to people who are not currently looking for work, we have something for everyone and even someone who isnt looking. Education recruiters can capture the user that doesnt know they are looking until the right job pops up in front of them!
