- Transline-Resource shortlisted for Scottish recruitment award
Leading HGV driver and industrial recruitment firm, Transline-Resource is delighted to announce that its Scottish Training Team has been shortlisted for the Innovation Award in the highly prestigious Scottish Recruitment Awards 2010, organised by the Scottish Business Insider.
Nominees in the category had to provide evidence of an innovation in recruitment that has had a demonstrable positive impact on the business and its clients. Nominees were also required to demonstrate a commitment to ethical codes of conduct and practice.
Transline-Resource was confident that its Scottish Training Team qualified on both counts due to it offering clients a commitment to professionally train all agency drivers and warehousing staff resulting in reduced accidents and increased productivity and all totally free of charge.
A shortlisitng process whittled it down to six entries in each category before head judges identified the three outstanding candidates for interview. UK and Scottish Training Team Managers, Steve Buckley and Frank Docherty were honoured to be invited and presented their case for innovation on the 19th May.
Frank Docherty, who hails from Barrhead, said: The interview was challenging but I believe that Steve and I presented a good argument and demonstrated the benefits of our service to the best of our ability. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed until the awards ceremony.
And there isnt a long wait to discover their fate. The awards are being held at the Glasgow Hilton on 10th June and representatives from the Scottish Training Team are looking forward to what promises to be a great night out, whatever the result.
Transline-Resource Joint Managing Director Paul Beasley is delighted with the news. He said: Im extremely proud of our Scottish Training Team which has advanced the overall skillset of our workforce and provided our clients with greater operational flexibility at a time when they needed it most.
Im delighted its innovative approach has been recognised by such a prestigious organisation and just hope that we can go all the way in what is a very competitive category.
