Forde Recruitment has secured a new three year contract

Sheffield recruitment company sign contract with national firm

South Yorkshire-based company Forde Recruitment has secured a new three year contract extension with national vehicle firm Manheim Inspection Services.

The six figure deal is a major achievement for the privately owned firm, based in Leopold Street, Sheffield, which has beaten off competition from national recruitment companies to secure the business.

Manheim Inspection Services works with clients including many well known national firms, to provide an inspection and collection service for company vehicles across the UK.

Drivers recruited by Forde Recruitment are teamed up with inspectors, and move cars, trucks and vans from any location in the UK and deliver the vehicles into auction centres or other locations as required.

Forde Recruitment has as many as 750 drivers from across the UK on its books at any one time, in areas stretching from Scotland to Southampton.

Our drivers are highly capable people with excellent communications and customer skills. We take time during the recruitment process to fully assess and vet our drivers to ensure they have the right skills for the job, said Mr Forde.

Forde Recruitment has been in business since 1991 and has built its reputation on being able to respond quickly and at short notice to requests from its customers. Some customers may require at peak times, as many as 80 drivers at short notice to work the next day at different locations across the country.

Drivers are typically aged in their 50s and 60s, and many have held senior management positions. Some are semi-retired and chose to work a few days a week. Other drivers are looking for longer term work, and some go on to take up full time jobs with Manheim Inspection Services and with other clients, reflecting that their skills are highly valued.
