REC welcomes Kelly Services into membership

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has announced that Kelly Services is the latest major recruitment company to join its membership.

Commenting on the companys decision to come into membership, John Callagher, Kelly Services UK and Ireland Country Manager, said:

Kelly Services is proud to be a member of the REC, an organisation that performs a critical role in making sure our industry is recognised for its contribution to the economy. Perhaps more critically it helps our customers and prospective clients recognise that we adhere to the standards set out in the RECs Code of Professional Practice.

This peace of mind is essential for all businesses, both large and small, particularly in challenging economic times. We look forward to working with the REC and forging a strong relationship over the years and months ahead.

Kevin Green, the RECs Chief Executive said: We are delighted to welcome Kelly Services into REC membership. Being such a pioneering company with a huge commitment to providing the highest standards for its clients, jobseekers and also its people, it is significant that it has chosen to join the REC so that the industry continues to move forward in attaining its goal of speaking with one voice."

Founded in 1946 in Michigan, USA, Kelly Services is one of the pioneers of the modern staffing industry having started as a provider of temporary staff to local businesses. This was the earliest record of a temporary staffing solution and became the platform on which Kelly has grown into a multinational organisation operating in 32 countries worldwide.

Though the company still specialises in office services which represent nearly half their placements, it has also developed Professional and Technical service lines, enabling it to source candidates in other sectors such as call centre, industrial, financial and accountancy, IT, education, scientific and engineering.
