VMA Group Launches VMA Enhance

New Division to Provide Tailored Professional Development Services

VMA Group, a leading provider of stakeholder communications and change management professionals, has launched a new division providing personal and professional development for organisations and their communications teams. Led by Charlotte Butler, associate director at VMA, the practice will offer personal development programmes, consultancy in team structure and effectiveness, executive coaching and talent showcase events. The first programmes, Managing the Message and Impact and Influence, will commence this summer.

The formation of VMA Enhance follows in-depth research into the wider career development needs of VMAs client base and will allow companies to work with VMA not only to recruit people, but to nurture and develop their existing talent. VMA Enhance will employ a strong focus on continuous development and mentoring delivered by a network of accredited associates from the communications profession. Members of the network will also deliver the programmes and services.

Charlotte Butler, practice leader for VMA Enhance commented, In our role as specialist communications recruiters we are in a unique position to learn about skills and development deficits within client organisations. With the increase in recruitment freezes, clients may not have the resources to make new appointments, but upskilling is still essential to maintain high performing teams.

Julia Meighan, CEO of VMA Group commented, We wanted to take a different approach to professional development that is tailored to clients needs, not based solely on skills training. Ongoing mentoring will play a key role in our offering as well as tailored personal coaching based on individual requirements. Using this approach we hope to raise standards and enhance the performance of todays communications talent.
