Chadwick Nott launches a solicitor locum/contract solution service to clients

As confidence continues to return to the labour market, legal firms and in-house legal departments are adopting new ways of working and recruiting legal professionals on a temporary basis.  In response to the increased demand for temporary professionals, London based legal recruitment specialist Chadwick Nott, who also has offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Reading, Leeds and Manchester, has appointed Charlie Compton to lead its new solicitor locum/contract solutions service to its clients.

Charles Elderton, Director at Chadwick Nott commented, We are delighted to welcome Charlie to our team at this exciting time. He is an experienced and highly credible legal recruiter who further strengthens our service offering to our clients and candidates.  Charlie will focus on providing locum and contract solicitors to private practice, public sector and in-house clients in the London and South area.  Previously Charlie worked at EJ Legal and Michael Page.

Embracing this new way of working enables legal firms to adjust more easily and quickly to workload and market fluctuations, as well as take advantage of the specialised skills that temporary staff can provide.  Clients are also realising the benefits of maintaining staffing flexibility and the opportunity to evaluate a worker without commitment.  Charlie says, "I am very excited to lead the Locum and Contract team at Chadwick Nott. The recent downturn has meant that there are unprecedented numbers of high quality lawyers currently immediately available and they represent a fantastic pool of talent for law firms and in-house legal departments now that business is picking up. Many of the top law firms are already taking advantage of this and I see locum and fixed term contracts as a huge growth area in legal recruitment in the future."
