Antal Russia (part of the international recruitment organisation 'FiveTen Group') is proud to announce the opening of its office in Kazakhstan. Antal launched a Kazakhstan desk which focused specifically on positions in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, filling them remotely last year the desk quickly became successful and grew to four consultants within 3 months. Opening a physical office in Almaty was the next logical step.
Kazakhstan and Central Asia have become one of the key markets for Antal, comments Michael Germershausen, Antal Russia Managing Director. In 1999 we had to close our office in Kazakhstan which had been operating for four years. Coming back to Almaty is a symbolic step for us at Antal, but also a strong sign that the economy in the whole CIS region is moving upwards again and this, less than two years after the 2008 global economic downturn. This is the first step in our regional expansion strategy, and we hope to be able to open offices in other CIS countries in the near future.
Now, when many international companies open their representations in Central Asia, they face difficulties to find strong middle and senior managers for their businesses while the recruitment market remains quite undeveloped. Antal Kazakhstan is aimed to gain leadership positions on the managerial recruitment market.

Kazakhstan is a unique market whose ability to develop quickly and efficiently is sometimes underestimated. Kazakhstan's economy is open for international investments, its government is supporting numerous international and local educational programs and initiatives, it is rich with natural resources, but it is also developing various other industries such as FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Banking, Production, as well as B2B trading, and many others.
There is a lack of high profile managers in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, and usually companies have to attract talents with international experience from Russia and other countries further afield.

Natalia Kurkchi has been appointed Country Manager of Antal Kazakhstan's office in Almaty, which is the part of the international recruitment group FiveTen Group.
Natalia Kurkchi joined Antal Russia in 2003, mostly recruiting in the areas of Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Insurance, Consulting, Finance, Accounting and Legal. Within three years she became a Partner and headed up Antal Russia's finance and banking recruitment department. Since 2009 Kurkchi has been responsible for Antal Russias CIS operations, mostly in the Central Asian region and she has built and headed the Kazakhstan desk focusing vacancies in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. In 2010 Natalia Kurkchi opened a representative office in Almaty and was appointed to be Antal Kazakhstan's Country Manager.
For almost two decades Antal has now been serving the CIS market. Many international companies have entrusted their recruitment activities to Antal, comments Michael Germershausen, Antal Russia's Managing Director. With the growing importance of the markets of central Asia with its 60m consumers, Antal Russia which is owned by The FiveTen Group has successfully concluded another stage of its investment plan by setting up Antal Kazakhstan. The foundations to this important step were already laid in 2009 when the company under the lead of its partner Natalia Kurkchi hired experienced Kazakh recruiters and trained them at its Moscow office. Natalia Kurkchi who has been with Antal Russia now for more than 6 years and who was part of the expansion team in Russia was the obvious choice to establish our operations there.
