BLUE ARROW CYCLISTS RAISE THOUSANDS
BLUE ARROW CYCLISTS RAISE THOUSANDS IN NATIONAL FUNDRAISER
Blue Arrow employees across the country have successfully completed an epic 1,800 mile cycle ride from Inverness in Scotland to Plymouth on the South Coast in aid of its official charity, The Joshua Foundation.
It was the first major event Blue Arrow has undertaken since adopting the charity at the beginning of the year.
This huge fundraising challenge took nearly two months to complete and covered a total of 47 legs, whilst raising thousands of pounds for children with terminal cancel.
Andrew Pettingill, Managing Director of Blue Arrow, had this to say: The people of Blue Arrow never cease to amaze me. It really shows that they can achieve anything and, during the epic journey, everyone really lived and breathed some of our values, such as community & team spirit and of, course, fun. On our travels, some of the terminally-ill children from The Joshua Foundation, and their families, dropped into our offices for a party before going off for an all expenses paid evening out. This really brought home why we were doing this as employees got on their bikes in some cases for the first time since going to school! More importantly, we did this for such a worthy cause and were able to put a smile on these young people's faces!
