GCS Raise 7K
Despite hail stones and gale force winds, a team from GCS Recruitment Specialists has successfully completed the daunting annual CARE IT Three Peaks Challenge and raised over 7000 in the process.
Teams taking part in the Challenge have to complete a non-stop climb of the three highest peaks in Great Britain: Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales. Although weather conditions were atrocious, GCSs team of Chris Bartlett, Ashley Cox, Amanda Cleary, Charlotte Deakin-Smith, Charlie OLoughlin and Matt Randall completed the three climbs in a creditable 26 hours 31 minutes.
Eighteen teams from across the IT sector took part in the Challenge and have to date raised over 100,000 in total. GCSs Managing Director Chris Bartlett commented: It was a gruelling but thoroughly rewarding experience. Despite the difficult weather conditions, particularly on the final scramble down Scafell Pike, we managed to complete the Challenge in just over 26 hours. Im so proud of our team and delighted that weve exceeded our 6000 fundraising target.
