Hays Global Fellowship

Hays Global Fellowship
Hays, the leading recruiting expert, is supporting The Global Fellowship for the second year running. The programme, which is organised by the British Council and the Department for Children, Schools and Families, seeks to broaden young peoples global awareness by providing them with an opportunity to experience other cultures and working environments. Each year, 100 talented young people join the Fellowship to gain first-hand experience of emerging economies.
In August, two Fellows, Braden Davy and Pooja Ahluwalia, will spend two weeks experiencing day-to-day recruitment life in Hays China office as part of their experience in that country. Participants will also spend two weeks learning the language and will spend time working at a local school. On their return Fellows will act as reporters on what they have witnessed and help raise awareness of the need to innovate and compete in order to ensure that the UK has a leading role in the rapidly changing skills economy.
Mark Sheldon, Divisional Managing Director at Hays, comments: As a truly global organisation and an active participant in the drive to increase youth employability we are proud to be able to support this programme. The two-week placement with the local operation of a global company makes this programme truly unique as it is important to enable young people to gain first-hand experience of the new global economy.
