Solihull based recruitment company Plum Personnel has scooped a prestigious regional award for their work in assisting unemployed people back to work.
Plum Personnel won the Recruitment Partnership of the Year prize at the recent West Midlands Jobcentre Plus Awards event hosted by Phil Upton of BBC Radio WM.
Plum Personnel has worked closely with Jobcentre Plus (JCP) for many years.
The Recruitment Partnership Award recognises employers that have demonstrated excellence in their approach to working closely with Jobcentre Plus and shows the commitment of Plum Personnel to helping local people into employment.
Director Julie Whitehouse said, Our partnership approach has resulted in Plum Personnel being able to assist unemployed men and women being considered for and being successful in securing temporary and permanent positions.
She added, Weve worked hard to ensure that the registration and recruitment process at Plum Personnel is designed to remove barriers to those who are unemployed by providing a confidence boosting environment.
The relationship with JCP was borne out of the Companys commitment to providing a quality recruitment service for local companies to find the right people for the right job.
Laura Godwin, Recruitment Consultant commented, Its really rewarding that during the last 12-month weve placed over 100 people into temporary assignments and many have gone on to secure permanent roles.
Debra Mason, Account Manager for JCP described the work between JCP and Plum Personnel as an inspiring partnership and explained, The Awards were introduced by Jobcentre Plus to recognise the important role employment partnerships are playing in getting people back to work and the vital contribution to the local community
Winners from all categories of the JCP Regional Awards will be put forward for the National Awards later in the year.
