The ARC welcomes de Poel
The Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) is delighted to announce that de Poel Consulting Ltd has joined as a member. de Poel is an independent consultancy holding prime vendor neutral position specializing in the procurement and management of temporary agency labour, and is a leading purchaser of temporary agency labour in the UK.
Adrian Marlowe, Chairman of the ARC, commented I am very pleased that an organisation with the stature of de Poel has joined the Association. de Poels wide range of experience and knowledge is a very welcome addition to our growing membership and we very much look forward to working with it.
John Salisbury, Managing Director of de Poel, said  We are delighted to become a member of the ARC and look forward to sharing our knowledge, expertise and foresight of the industry with the ARC.
Since its launch in March 2009, membership of the ARC has grown to 93 recruitment consultancies commanding a combined turnover of some 1.4bn. Adrian said I believe that this level of organic growth in just over one year from our inception shows that our aims and objectives are in tune with the needs of the industry.
The ARC has recently taken a number of steps to help the industry, including pressing for a change to the rules in Employment Tribunals, which currently work unfairly against agencies and employers so far as spurious claims are concerned, and calling for reinstatement of the margin only VAT staff hire concession which was abolished last year.
The ARC is an apolitical non competitive professional organisation offering proactive lobbying, networking, legal helpline and a range of helpful operating tools. ARCs objective is to protect and promote agency work and provide exemplary support for recruiters.
