OCC RECRUITMENT EXPANDS IN RESPONSE TO SOLID 2010 PERFORMANCE
Leading independent specialist IT & Telecoms recruitment company, OCC Recruitment, has expanded its range of services and appointed 3 new members of staff at its Cheshire HQ, in response to a very solid performance across the business through 2010 and definite signs that the job market is improving.
OCC was established back in 1971, and operates a central office location from Nantwich in Cheshire, and supplies both Contract and Permanent IT staff to clients across the UK and mainland Europe into sectors such as Defence, Space, Health and SAP as well as into the private sector.
Tim Lane, Business Development Director for OCC said: We are definitely seeing a major upturn in business as we are busier than we have been for at least 18 months. Our clients seem to be feeling much more confident about taking on both permanent and contract staff this year and there is a general feeling that the worst is over. Interestingly we have also seen a marked improvement in the Construction sector which has of course been very badly hit. We have also had increasing demand from our Pharmaceutical clients and in response to this we have appointed two new Senior Consultants who understand these markets and are perfectly placed to help businesses with all their recruitment needs. Finally we have also identified a need to expand our existing Space and Defence business and have appointed a key Consultant for this as well.
The new Head of Construction business is Simon ODonnell who specialises in all aspects of Construction recruitment.
Simon is joined by Darren Carter who becomes Head of Pharma recruitment. Finally Craig Husband joins as Head of Defence & Space recruitment.
Simon and Darren join OCC with over 10 years in-depth specialist recruitment experience, and Craig combines his recruitment background with 6 years in the Royal Naval Reserves.
Lane said OCC continues to grow at an increasing pace and the future is certainly very exciting for all our staff. We intend to continue to build on our core strengths and add in new areas of expertise where we see client demand.
