REC announces change of date for National Convention and IRP Awards

REC announces change of date for National Convention and IRP Awards
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation has announced it is changing the date of its National Convention and IRP Awards. The events will now take place on Tuesday October 26 instead of Wednesday October 20.
This is because after the original date, October 20 was chosen for the events the TUC said it would be holding its National Day of Action to coincide with Chancellor George Osbornes Comprehensive Spending Review.
The Day of Action is likely to result in widespread disruption to public services and affect the London Underground, railways and buses.
Commenting on the change of date, the RECs Chief Executive, Kevin Green explained: We have been closely monitoring the situation and reluctantly came to the conclusion that we needed to move the events because the likely action on the day would make it extremely difficult for members to get to both the Convention and the Awards.
Our first and foremost duty is to our members and we hope those who have already booked will still be able to join us at The Brewery on October 26.
