Strong half year for Bristol based IT recruitment specialist Redrock
10 August 2010 - Bristol based Redrock Consulting has reported a 30% increase in fee income for the first half of the year. Redrock, provider of bespoke IT staffing solutions, says that 2010 has seen a rapid return to confidence after a brief dip last year, with particularly strong demand for software developers coming from companies specialising in ecommerce, financial services and telecoms.
Unquestionably the first half of 2009 was a difficult year for recruitment, but in IT and Telecoms, confidence is most definitely back, and both contract and permanent hiring are in the ascendancy. The challenge for recruitment companies now is attracting the best talent for the opportunities that are coming on-stream in these high growth sectors, said Redrock managing director Dean Harte.
Increase in demand is being driven by the number of British SMEs competing on a world stage in the fields of innovation, particularly in the areas of mobile and web based technologies and also by entrepreneurial start ups launching products that compliment these industries. All are looking for the best and most ambitious candidates to fuel their growth.
Our half year is yet another strong signal that, for the IT recruitment sector and our client base at least, this has been a relatively short recession. Were looking forward to another year of growth in 2010.
Redrock was ranked 17th in the 2009 Sunday Times league table of British private companies with the fastest growing sales.
