Arrows Group takes to the mountains for charity

The healthcare, technology and finance recruiter Arrows Group has raised 3000 for Help For Heroes by undertaking the 3 Peaks Challenge.

A group of eight from the Arrows Group team climbed the three highest peaks in Britain Ben Nevis, Snowdonia and Scafel Pike in 24 hours. This totalled a climb of 9700 feet and an overall walking distance of 22 miles. Help For Heroes is a charity that raises money for our many service men and women that have suffered serious injury whilst on active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We were very proud to be undertaking the 3 Peaks 24 Hour Challenge on behalf of this great charity that really changes peoples lives explains James Parsons, managing director of Arrows Group and one of the eight climbers. We have experienced their great work first hand through supplying staff to one of the MOD medical centres in Surrey and they really do make a difference. It was a gruelling challenge and we were treated to some of Britains wettest weather but the whole team dug deep and made it up all three mountains in time. We finished by climbing Ben Nevis in the middle of the night in high winds which is no mean feat! All the donations and support were hugely appreciated and made the tough climbs worthwhile.
